I’ve just added both Cutcaster and Pixmac agencies to the Picz.us system, so now you can earn from their affiliate programmes when sharing your links, or use Picz.us to promote your portfolio there and earn more from your microstock images.

Thanks to feedback from people using Picz.us to share their links, I’ve decided to substantially increase the share of exposure received by the link creator, now any links shared which point at an included microstock image agency site (for which you have added your affiliate code), you get 100% of the exposure on the link.
The reasoning behind this is that most people sharing links to the microstock websites are doing so to promote their own portfolio, or to suggest images to a specific friend. This way you know that sending a friend to your images via Picz.us will ensure that if they sign up, you get the commission from the agency
You still also get 50% of any clicks on the toolbar buttons, Picz.us only receives a 40% share in the toolbar exposure (for links pointing to any site not included as one of the Picz.us affiliate sites), the other 10% is for your referrer.
You can now refer other people to share their links through the Picz.us URL shortener.
When someone signs up after following your link to the Picz.us homepage, for every link they shorten your microstock agency affiliate codes appear 10% of the time (taken from the Picz.us exposure-share), earning you referrals when your referees share their links across the web.
To get your referral link,
- Sign up on the Picz.us homepage or login to your existing account
- Set your microstock agency affiliate codes (You can signup from the links in the profile panel)
- Copy your referral url from the box in the Tools panel. (You may need to refresh the page)
- Share it on your website, social media sites or email to your friends
Share Picz.us with your friends and earn money from stock photography affiliation along with them
The Picz.us link shortener is built for people who would like to share their internet URLs on social media services like twitter and facebook, whilst encouraging their visitors to browse and purchase related images from online stock photography libraries.
When you sign up, you add your affiliate ID to your profile for each of the agencies in the system, if you make a short URL to any image, search page, or other section on an included image agency website, your link is updated to include your referral/affiliate ID automatically and the visitor is sent directly to the long URL (like bit.ly).
If you shorten a link to any other site (picz.us would like to become the main URL shortener for image-focussed links) then a small top-bar is added (like ow.ly) where the visitor can access links for related images to the included image licensing agencies. Your affiliate ID is included on an even-split, ie: half the time it’s your code, the other half it’s mine
You can signup on the picz.us front page, then add your affiliate codes to your profile to start earning for you by referring image buyers to find images related to the link in microstock photography, illustration, and maybe video agency websites in future too.
